Stanislaw Aronson, the protagonist of this documentary, was born in Warsaw, in 1925, in a wealthy assimilated Jewish family. When he was 14, the WWII started. Stanislaw Aronson, the protagonist of this documentary, was born in Warsaw, in 1925, in a wealthy assimilated Jewish family. When he was 14, the WWII started. At this moment his happy childhood ended up forever. A few days after the outbreak of war, Aronson’s family moved to the east of Poland. They settled in Lvov, which was soon occupied by the Soviets. Aronsons returned to Warsaw and settled in the Ghetto. During the deportation to Treblinka Death Camp, seventeen years old Stanislaw, jumped out of the train. He quickly found a way to the anti-Nazi Resistance. He became a soldier of an elite Home Army Unit. He has participated in many sabotage and subversion acts and he also fought in Warsaw Uprising. In the summer of 1945, he left Poland in dramatic circumstances. In Italy he joined the II Corps of General Anders’s Army and then he settled in Palestine. He took part in war for independence of Israel. He worked over 20 years in Office of the Spokesman of Israeli Army. He has never told about his heroic past, even his Family.
